Just wanted to message to say thanks for performing at my wedding. You guys were great. Super band! Epic musicians who rocked the party, the dance floor was packed and each song was better than the last. Behind the scenes very professional; quick correspondence, really good at taking the songs we liked and creating a great set which flowed and was tailored the mood of the party, also provided a super playlist for in between sets. I would definitely recommend!
Michelle & Steven Scop - Wedding 22/6/17
"Best wedding band ever" - quoted by my wedding guests! I can't recommend Bright Sparks highly enough. Apart from a fantastic band who play brilliantly together, with a superb varied playlist to choose from, they completely cater to your needs, are more than capable of rocking the house if that's what is required and are also really 'nice guys'! I hope one day I can use Bright Sparks again. I recommend them to anyone I know organising a function. Many thanks
Rosie Hanlon - August 2017
You guys absolutely rocked our wedding night, guest still mention how good you were a year later! Easy to book, easy to deal with, the easiest part of organising our wedding. You didn’t even mind the bride gate crashing your chill out space for a breather! Hope you are all well. Hopefully you will be around in a few years for our 10th anniversary party! Cheers
John Wilkinson - March 2017
Many of my friends and family love the same music I do. The Bright Sparks were a perfect choice for a special birthday therefore. What impressed us throughout was their huge professionalism from preparation for the event, through set up and then their performance which was first class. They were flexible listening to our ideas but also creative with thoughts of their own. They are also a thoroughly decent bunch of blokes! We are about to try to book them again which tells you everything you need to know!! Best wishes
Teresa - Sept 2017

How long does the band play for?
The Bright Sparks' standard performance is 2 hours, divided into two sets of 1 hour each.
This is almost always enough for an evening event.
If however, you'd like us to play for more than this, please mention it in your enquiry and we can include this in your quote.
Can I split the 2 hours into 3 separate sets?
We strongly recommend that you stick with two sets of 1 hour each.
Three sets of 40 mins each are possible but can tend to be too short for your guests to really enjoy themselves.
Feel free to discuss this with us if you like.
How do we go about choosing the songs for the evening?
We have a wide selection of material, and as you can imagine, we have a very good idea of the sort of music that works for different crowds in different situations. It's a good idea to give the band as much freedom as possible to use our long experience in tailoring the set to the audience on the night.
Before your event we will send you a song list and ask you to highlight a selection of songs in order to provide the band with a broad idea of your personal tastes and that of your guests.
This will enable us to design the set with your audience in mind.
Can you play special requests?
We will happily learn up to 2 special requests per gig, as long as they are within certain stylistic boundaries and suit the instruments. Of course it's possible to learn more than 2 songs if needed, but extra charges may apply for this.
How far does the band travel?
We regularly travel all over the UK and the rest of the world. Members of the band have played on every continent over the last decade (except Antarctica, but we're working on that.*)
Traveling is part of our job and no travel request is too far. Just drop us a line and ask for a quote.
*A singer friend of ours visited Antarctica in 2009.
She says she didn’t do any gigs whilst she was there.
What time do you arrive at the venue?
Our standard arrival time for an evening performance is 6pm. If your event requires a performance at another time of day just let us know and we can let you know our arrival time.
In what sort of vehicles will you be arriving?
We normally arrive in three cars. This may be different on some long distance gigs, feel free to ask us if you need to know for parking arrangements etc.
Do you bring your own PA equipment and Stage Lights?
Yes. Our standard system is suitable for crowds of up to 150. If your event is going to have more guests than this, please let us know, as we may need to bring additional equipment.
Can I come to see the band live before I book?
This can tend to be difficult as almost all of our performances are at private functions. Feel free to ask, and we can check in case there are any public performances coming up.
You can always check out our video here for a good idea of the vibe and sound of the band.
Ummm…hang on, a live band… at my event? Sounds like a nightmare. Surely all musicians are scruffy, ill-mannered and unreliable?
Not on our watch.
When you book the Bright Sparks, you are booking a band made up of some of the UK's top professional musicians, and you will find us to be absolutely professional in everything we do.
When you book a band like this you can relax in the knowledge that your band will arrive on time and looking smart, will be courteous towards your guests at all times, and will represent you and your event with utmost professionalism.
Have you ever missed a performance?
No. In the years since we started, we have faced adverse weather, blizzards, motorway closures, lost luggage, lost instruments, French customs, Italian car rental firms and road-closing floods caused by good old British rain, but whatever we have faced, and wherever we have been, we have always been onstage and ready to go at the agreed time. Just don’t ask us how…
Do we need to feed you?
Yes please. The musicians will normally have been traveling for some time to get to your event, and will be on site all night, so will definitely need a hot meal to keep them going. (Decent coffee goes a long way too!)
Has the band ever received any complaints?
No. Not one. We can honestly say we’ve left satisfied clients at every event we’ve ever done. It may sound like a big claim but its true, and we’re proud of it!
